Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan 2023: Satoshi Adachi

Dr. Satoshi Adachi, Assistant Professor, Division of Accelerator, CYRIC won Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan (JPS) 2023.

This award was mainly in recognition of the paper reporting the candidates for the 5α condensed state in 20Ne.

Comment from Satoshi Adachi

This work is the result of research conducted at RCNP, Department of Physics, Osaka University, and Department of Physics, Kyoto University, and could be summarized in this result thanks to the support of many collaborators including Professor Masatoshi Itoh, CYRIC. The experimental data for the candidate states proposed in the paper are statistically insufficient, and information on spin and parity is not yet determined. My collaborators and I are now planning and preparing the next experiment that will increase the statistics and extract information on spin and parity of the candidate states.

The information about this award will be published later on the JPS and KAKUDAN web pages.
